✩#140 – 30 Day Gyaru Challenge: Day 27✩

Did you ever consider leaving gyaru?

Yes. There did come a point in time where I was frustrated. I didn’t feel like I belonged. And there was a lot going on in my life that didn’t leave me in the right mindset.

Though now I believe that everyone goes through that at least once in their lives with whatever community they become involved in. It takes time and patience to really find out how much you love something that involves others. You feel scared that you’re not good enough. That there are those that whisper behind your back. You don’t belong.

But if I followed those feelings and believed them, left the community and quit entirely…who would I be?

I gave myself more time, talked with people in the community and looked for inspiration. Sometimes all you need is just a push. Whether it comes from fashion magazines, other gals, blogs or even just talking to someone.

I know I felt I wasted a lot of time trying to be a Lolita. But I didn’t let that stop me from becoming gal. In fact, it was because of Lolita bloggers that I found my way over to Gyaru. And after working through all of the emotions and obstacles, I am happier more than ever with who I have become.

If you ever feel that way, dear reader, know that you are not alone.

We are in a community. Many of us are working harder to make sure that the negativity stays out. So if you feel down, just remember that we are here to lift each other up. You WILL feel better and the bad feelings will go away. And if they do end up coming back, know that we will help squash ’em! ♥
