✩#63 – 30 Day Gyaru Challenge Day 19✩

Day 19 – Share your best tips

  1. Do research!
It’s so important to do this first step. With anything you’re wanting to dive into, it’s important to learn about it. There are so many good resources online on different social media platforms, magazine scans and forums! Don’t forget the blogs that are still around! And of course, you can always just ask other Gyaru!
  2. Experiment.
There are so many different substyles that you might feel overwhelmed. Look around to see which appeals to you most and try it out. I have done that with so many different styles and even though I love them, they’re not for me. But experimenting will help you in the long run and save you money xD
  3. Don’t feel the need to buy brand right away.
Looking at all the Gyaru out there, you’ll notice most wear brands like D.I.A., Alba Rosa, Liz Lisa, etc. But brand, even secondhand will cost a bit. Look at what you have in your closet first or find cheap items that are “Gyaru-able”. I find a ton of great pieces in places like F21!
  4. Practice, Practice, Practice with makeup!
Youtube and Pinterest are great places to start when it comes to learning Gyaru makeup. It’s essential to Gyaru so it’s important to concentrate on it. Especially if you’re like me who doesn’t wear CL!
  5. Buy secondhand.
When you’re finally ready to buy your dream pieces and brand, always try to go for secondhand. Of course, if you’re into old-school then you have to, but see what’s online first and you might get a good deal!

Hope some of these help! I know they helped me when I first started! And of course, don’t be afraid to ask! All of us Gyaru will be more than happy to help!
